Yum! Great place to have lunch!

Nice seafood, well prepared and excellent menu. Don't be put off by the warehouse feel. Had a great salmon filet-wich. Spouse had halibut bits and fries. Great tartar sauces to choose from- the curry one was special. Fair pricing. Amazing selection of fresh and frozen seafood including live crab. Sushi and sashimi bar too!

Great place for lunch or Dinner. Soups or Chowder were great to eat in or take home Excellent value and service Many fresh choices, go early as they close at 8 pm. Great for families or take out as well

Living in SoCal for years I had many choices for seafood. This place rocks their oyster Po'Boy and fries is excellent and their fish and sushi is fresh off the truck.. Love eating here

I heard this place was good and that's exactly how I describe it. Just good. Nothing crazy exciting or must have just overall good food. I had the tuna fishwich and I thought it was very tasty. Had a lot of flavor and loved the pesto on it I also tried their sushi since I'm a sushi fanatic and can't pass it up. It was ok. Not that flavorful which in my eyes is better then bad flavors. It was just pretty simple and I had one of the specialty rolls so I was expecting the roll to really have loads of flavor, instead I got ok sushi for a relatively low price. All and all it was clean, fast, and nothing really negative to point out. It just wasn't something that would draw me back inside unless I was in the area.

Truly a fav. It has a wonderful family owned feel (perhaps because it is) & being from Alaska, ir makes me feel a.little closer to home :)

I live in seattle and this place has the best salmon and chips! I will come back any chance I can. We had 6 in our party, we sat outside and everything was great!

The blackened Rockfish was genius. It's was so perfectly cooked and the blackening complimented rather than overwhelmed. We took some lovely salmon to cool over our fire!
(5)Tim T.
Ok, my family and I have eaten here probably a dozen and a half times in the last couple years and we've covered over half the menu from both the cooked side and the sushi side. Would we go back, yes. Every time. Never had a bad meal there. The sushi has been good and the cooked items are fun and tasty. The seating is a bit cheap, but we're always comfortable there. Love the paintings and the service has been excellent. Definitely a step up from the chain restaurants.

My husband and I are huge fish and chips people after living in Oceanside CA. We are always on the hunt for good ones, so we were excited to give this place a try. It was very clean, and didn't smell fishy at all! We had the mahi mahi fish and chips with a bowl of clam chowder. The chowder was fantastic! We enjoyed the fish very much, however I wish that the breading had a little bit more seasoning. I liked the fact that we were given the choice of two tarter sauces in our flavor choices. We will be back for sure :)

This place is a rareity, a family owned family run seafood market that has fresh awesome quality seafood, great little sushi bar and a great menu to enjoy a meal in the dining area. This family also enjoys fishing so they really know their product. The tuna is all sushi grade as well.
(5)Kisa J.
The Sushi that I've tried so far is actually very good, which was a total surprise to me! Sometimes the rice for the sushi isn't exactly right, but it's better than any store sushi or the sushi from the Chinese buffet at least! The fries in the Grill part of the restaurant are decent, but not really that great. I love being able to buy fresh fish from the market, and am glad that they sell sushi grade tuna so I can make my own rolls at home!

best fish and chips i have ever had away from the oregon coast. the cod and salmon are excellent but was not a fan of the catfish. cant wait to try their sushi.
(4)Thomas B.
Grilled fish tacos were fresh tasting & filling. Prices reasonable and service prompt. I'll be back in the future!

Ugh! Disgusting! First of all, when you say "fish and chips", the fish better be battered. Even I'm not sure what it is about Idaho and breading their fish and chips rather than battering them. Even the almighty Bittercreek in Boise does it. Besides that, the fish had no flavor whatsoever. I ordered the regular tarter sauce which didn't help any. At least make a good tarter sauce to mask the flavorless breaded fish. In fact, stick to trying to make 1 good tarter sauce before putting 10 different kinds on your menu. To be fair, this review is based entirely on the fish and chips. Maybe the sushi is good. But if you pride yourself on fish and chips then you need to get with the program.

Fisherman's Market is tasty, casual, clean, and friendly. I've been craving the Poke Tuna and Tokyo Tuna dishes ever since I moved. Never had a bad experience here.
(5)Tammy N.
the market was really clean! even though its a fish market, it didnt smell fishy. they had lots of fresh fish and fresh shellfish. i definately will be coming back here to get fresh seafood when im back in town =0)
(5)Gypsy B.
Stopped in for fish n'chips, Tried the Cod . Hubby had halibut & chips, It was just OK. Had better had worse. Little on the high priced side for what it was. Don't think We will be returning .
(2)Jamieleigh W.
They don't use sushi rice for the rolls so they completely fall apart which sucks. They taste good but are annoying to eat. Nice service and great presentation but you have to order and pay then be served which I'm just not a fan of, it gives it an overall cheap feeling.

I'm a little hesitant to review Raw Dead Fish, mostly because I want everyone to know how great the sushi was, but I don't want you to go and take up all the seats so I can't get it. Raw Dead Fish takes up a small corner of the Fisherman's Market in CDA. It's simply a great sushi bar with a dozen or so seats. I ordered up the small chef's platter which came with a great variety of rolls and nigiri at a very decent price. I can't wait to go back!
(5)Teresa F.
This place is great. It is a bit pricey, but the quality of the sushi more than makes up for it! My favorite? The rolls! They look as fantastic as they taste. Thanks, guys!
(4)David S.
Sushi - meh Service - took 30+ mins after order placed to get the food. It came out in two separate batches. Return? - Probably not.
(2)Jon T.
In laws love this place. Seafood is fresh and the kids like the kids meals. If your craving a fish sandwich or good fish and chips then swing in and don't mind the decor.
(3)Ashley R.
Great fish and chips and great family owned atmosphere. The sushi is what I personally go for because the prices are great and the chefs are all talkative and friendly. This is definitely a great place to meet up with friends after work because the dress code is super relaxed.
(4)Jessica C.
Best fish and Chips you can get this far from the coast. The sushi is ok but not why I go.
(5)Hilerie S.
When I was living in Idaho, this was one of our frequent stops. The sushi bar is great and the sushi chefs know what they are doing! Yum! You can get a good sushi plate for about 30 dollars (enough for two people). I also like the other things offered - like the fish and chips. Very tasty. It gets busy here on Friday and Saturday nights though.
(4)Lisa W.
Went for sushi based on the yelp reviews. Not that great. Had the rainbow roll and it was oddly really salty? My husband had the fish and chips and the crab cakes. Fish was ok but the crab cakes weren't so great....dried out and flavourless. Neat atmosphere but we won't be returning.
(2)Lucy L.
Wonderful grill and fantastic sushi! It is also a fish market. Great customer service and clean environment. Really enjoyed our lunch and have had dinner here several times before.
(4)Koni K.
Great Fish and Chips!!!!! They offer a variety of fish for fish and chips such as Wild Salmon, Oysters, Alaskan Halibut and New Zeland Red Cod. For dipping you get your choice of two 'tartars' - the Tokyo (wasabi, ginger) and Cabo (jalepeno, lime, tequila) are two of my favs. The Buffalo Club sandwich was great and not a combo that I would have thought of. Pick up some fresh fish for later while you are there.
(5)Tracy M.
I was in dire need of fish and chips - so I hoped for the best and went in. Very glad I did. The halibut fish and chips were perfect! I did complain that I only got 3 pieces of fish for $14...but as it turned out, I could only eat 2 of them. They were bigger than they looked. The place is busy, but relaxed. Going again and trying the salmon & chips next.
(4)Randall V.
Stand in line to order overpriced Sushi, took 30 minutes, server yourself to drinks, tableware and if you want to sit at Sushi bar you need to clean a place. Sushi was almost ok, really not worth the price. Never again
(2)Melanie H.
Excellent fish and chips with multiple gourmet tartar and coleslaw options. Try the jerk tartar it's yummy. Funky atmosphere.
(4)Fresh M.
Very best in town
(5)Ian M.
Good but overpriced. The Good -- As expected, the sushi was great. The fish is fresh and Travis, the chef, is good at what he does. The Bad -- Like the fish market, it's expensive. We spent at least 30% more than we would at other sushi restaurants. Also, the decor is identical to that of the fish market. Aluminum chairs and tables in a large warehouse-like space.

Had the fish tacos, and I must say they were terrible. By far the worst I've ever had. I don't know how you could make something so bland. Even I make way better fish tacos than that and I'm not much of a cook. They put a bunch of some type of white sauce all over them, and that has no flavor at all so I don't really see the point of it. I hear the sushi is good, but I'll never go back. Extremely disappointed.
(1)Shawn T.
I keep trying to give them a chance but they keep disappointing, food is alright, it's nice to have sushi north of I-90. Their customer service is very hit or miss, and they are always in a hurry to lock the door. Last straw, called at 7:40 for a take out order, sorry we close at 8. Perfect I say, I'm only 10 minutes away. Nope, we close at 8 they say. Fine, my business goes elsewhere from now on.
(2)L N.
Serious customer service issues. When I complained (nicely) that people who had been seated well after me were being attended to first, Travis, the sushi chef, was snotty and arrogant rather than dealing with the complaint professionally. Hey guys - first come, first served, okay? Food is good but over-priced, and there are other restaurants in town that actually treat their customers with respect. They'll be getting my money from now on.

Dropped by here for lunch and was really surprised at how nice it was! This place would survive in food-frenzy LA. Fish and chips range from about $8 to $10 dollars, including two choices for tartars (very nice choices! -- I had the Salmon fish and chips with the Cabo and the curry-flavored one) and small side of coleslaw. Very affordable. They also sell different fresh fish, crab and clams for taking home if you like. yum yum yum.
